I would like to buy RPF1 wheels for my NC 1.8.
But I want to stay with stock size of tire (205/45/17).
With this tire size, I think the best size of wheel is 17x7 ET45.
But you don't propose it for NC. Why? there is problems with 17x7 RPF1 on NC?
Do you think that 17x7.5 ET48 is a better choice with stock tire size?
Thanks for your help.

Nothing wrong with 17x7....it just doesn't come up much for us except for stock class racing customers. Customers seeking to increase performance usually looking to go wider such as 17x7.5 or 17x8 or 17x9.

Plus a 17x8 usually pairs well with 215/45 size tires in getting the most grip out of them. If you check tire pricing you will see large differences between 205/45-17 and the 215/45-17. I saw about $35 a tire in Michelin Pilot Super Sports so I went with the slightly larger and less expensive 215/45-17. Also, the slightly larger wheel is a bit easier to sell as an upgrade when you move on.

But if you're set on 205/45-17 I'd at least go to the 17 x 7.5 wheel as that's the max spec width rim for that size Michelin Pilot Super Sport.

Here's a link to a Mazda racer describing wider rim widths and their effect on the tire: http://mazdamotorsports.com/webapp/wcs/ ... dium=email
