Thoughts on this set-up? I recently picked up a max power header used, and I'll need to get a mid pipe in order to install it. I wanted to pick up a RoadsterSport II with the mid pipe and street header. Now I'm thinking of the super-Q, since I grabbed a max-power header...

I have that setup on our 2.5 liter Project Blue currently, sound is amazingly civilized when just cruising with the combo of SuperQ and the new Helmholtz midpipe controlling the sound level. Not quiet compared to stock but quiet compared to many other sports cars like a V8 Mustang or Corvette. If your passenger didn't know the Miata really well, they might not guess with this setup that it is aftermarket when you are in cruise mode. As noted in the product description for the midpipe, makes much more sound when you put your foot into it.

Any deals to be had for the midpipe and super-Q combo?

Nope, the downside of costs that come with Made in the USA.... is these exhausts never go on sale.
