NC Club Shocks

I've been searching the forum and I don't see a direct comparison of NC shocks for cars with stiffer/lowered springs.

I have an NC Club and the Bilstein's are crying out to be changed after 28,000 aggressive miles. I installed the Progress Technology springs, Progress Technology front and rear sway bars, and the Racing Beat end links. The car sits slightly lower than it did originally. The reviews for the Tokico Performance Shocks HP Series seem very high, but there is no information about durability and longevity for any of the shocks. So I need a recommendation. Honestly, I would have gone for the Ohlins coilovers, but with a wedding coming up, I don’t have the money for that. SO…

What the best choice for a set of shocks that jive with the other upgraded parts, gives the best handling on the road (without completely destroying my spine), gives good response and communication on the track (about 3 times a year) and lasts longer than the stock Bilsteins (about 30k miles)?

Couple of choices, durability about the same for each.

Bilstein SPORT. Both the replacement Bilsteins are better than the factory and last longer but these SPORT are slightly shorter to be a better match for length used with lowering springs like you have.

KONI SPORT. Lowers the car ANOTHER half inch, some want that additional lowering and some do not. Gives you ability to control front to rear balance of the car with adjustable damping.

Tokico Adjustables. Does NOT lower the car more, best choice for those who want adjustable damping without changing height from where they are now.

Thanks for the quick response. Is there a definable difference between the Bilstein Sport and the Tokico? As much as I love a firm suspension to helps me grip well in corners, I also love great feel/communication and response. Without considering price, does one shine over the other?

The Tokico offers the adjustable damping, the Bilstein brand has the shorter shock length. I really like having control of damping, turning it soft for long drives and stiffer for performance driving, track, autocross, canyon fun, etc. If you are not the type to go adjusting them anyway, then I suggest the Bilstein for the better match of length to your lowering springs.
