Improvement adding Mid-pipe to Super Q?

I have fitted the Super Q to my 2.0 ND and happy with exhaust note with standard baffle fitted (too loud for me when removing baffle). Will your mid-pipe add more volume or just change tone? What performance improvements are there from mid-pipe and have they been dynoed?
