This is my first time changing the springs on struts (2016 MX-5 Bilsting&Progressive). Are there any do or don'ts disassembling and reinstalling them besides torquing on the ground and again after 500 miles. I plan to compress the springs, loosen the nuts/bolts, change the springs, tighten, and do torque process. If there are any techniques I should be aware of I would appreciate your advice.

It is pretty easy, only real issue to avoid is stuck bushings, see our ND progress spring product description for the factory service manual page on that.
