EGR Blockoff Kit...

Postby k9bill » Wed Sep 07, 2016 4:01 pm

Could someone tell me something about this EGR Blockoff Kit.
Where does it go on the N/C? Would it effect the emissions test.
Anybody have a pic of one on an N/C?

I had an egr delete on my old 06. It replaces the egr valve on the back of the head, and yes it will throw a cel.

Thank you for your reply.

A cel I'm not worried about. I was concerned about the emissions testing every other year .
I have passed everyone so far and want to keep it like that. From what I have just learned is that
this mod would be no benefit to me as I plan to stay nature aspirated.

I'm always thinking about a new mod and some other way to more weight reduction.

My N/C goals... over two under two!

You can have your tuner turn the code off. As long as your state only does a plug in you will be ok. What state are you in? If they do a visual they could fail you though

you can actually just leave the egr valve in place and cap the hole near the intake manifold. then have your tuner deactivate the code and egr and it will just stay closed. Pretty much the same as blocking it
