Updates to Project RF.

Rear Brakes installed, we did our two-piece rotors in drilled/slotted pattern to match the front. Instead of doing our rear calipers, which we have one on other projects like our ND GT and our Fiat 124, we did the low cost option many like of just using our caliper paint to make the rear calipers match the black finish of our Wilwood front calipers. Result looks awesome! Also got NEW set of "RoadsterSport" brand sways in the car that will be the new price leader in sways for ND, coming this Spring they are less serious than our Progress Sways, perfect for my wife's daily driver. Our Tungsten 17x8 6UL wheels with 235/40 Toyo R1R tires, our SuperStreet muffler, our RF Springs (on site for pre-order now).

Used the RF to test new 'Mixing Baffle' for the SuperStreet Twin Tip. This will be in production soon, allows the owner of SuperStreet Twin Tip to mix the ratio of bass to treble and very effectively tune the mix to what they want to hear.

Wow! That's almost 10whp higher than your usual ND charts on this dyno.

Yep, ideal cool and dry conditions and a few more break-in miles might be part of it, though I expect Mazda has improved both code and assembly, we know the trans is updated too. Will be repeating the baseline on at least one more local dyno.

And more baseline runs, two runs at 145....and I did a last run that hit 146 but picture came out worse than this one so here are the first two runs. Again, totally stock, the only change is a different brand of dyno about an hour east of here. Amazingly consistent result given slightly warmer air, slightly less pressure, and different brand of dyno.

Test Conditions
91 Octane Fuel (same tank of fuel)
68 F temp
29.61 Baro

It's crazy how flat those torque curves are. It's within 10 ft-lbs of peak torque from 2500 to 5000 RPM. No wonder these cars are so much faster than the peak numbers would indicate. :D
