GWR Mid-Pipe w/ Catalytic

Post by pman »

GWR: How efficient is the catalytic in the GWR mid-pipe w/ Helmholtz? Is there any suggestion on how to improve its efficiency when using the Max Power Hdr? I am guessing that anyway to get it hot fast is the way to go.

Thanks.

It is an EPA certified cat for up to 6.2 liter V8. It's overkill for half the cylinders but we wanted the 2.5 inches of flow size. We are working on CARB version of that midpipe, likely a few more months to get that done.

Brian,
Any update on the CARB Helmholtz midpipe effort for NCs? Also, any chance the cool tech you were talking about for a possible CARB legal Fiat downpipe could enable a CARB legal NC header eventually?

For various reasons started over on CARB NC Midpipe. It will not be related to current Helmholtz Midpipe, will be standard glass resonator rather than the Helmholtz unit.
