New ND Midpipe

Post by awales74 »

Still enjoying my RoadsterSport Race and now looking for my next project.

I've read that there is a new midpipe for the ND in the works. Something about a higher flow cat? Is this true -- is it a different product or just an enhancement to the RoadsterSport? Would it carry roughly the same legal restrictions or does the higher flow cat make it off road only? Would it come with a different resonator that keeps a little more control on the sound? Any idea of date?

Yes, new MaxMidpipe is coming. Been saying that for many months, but almost done. No CARB version yet, though that is planned....but it will be ANOTHER version of the same item, not the same item. The CARB version needs higher density core, doesn't get the 5 inch 200 CPI for track use, but would still get big 5 inch diameter cat that would easily flow better than stock. That's the plan. We have CARB midpipes and cats for NA/NB....so we hope to complete the catalog with CARB midpipes for NC and ND.

Same as you read in the other thread (pic copied below so others don't have to go searching). I talked with production again later today, everything is complete, but we are at least 30+ days out from inventory on the new item.

On my wife's RF for 437 mile drive to Laguna Seca...with supercharger (makes entire system louder because you are blowing so much harder on it, like blowing harder on a whistle). Wife approved with supercharger.

Don't have exact date yet, waiting on the factory. Best guess is we are still at least 60 days out.

Not as much fun as waiting for the SC, but still entertaining.

Since you’ve been in testing with it, I’d imagine you’ve weight the new vs current midpipe?
Any numbers?
