AVO ND Turbo Kit and OFT

Post by awales74 »

Purchased OFT tablet a while back. Lots of fun :)

Looking at AVO Turbo Kit for a little bit more kick. Seems like AVO kit comes with exactly the same hardware and software for tune. Obviously the tune itself is specific to the turbo and I'd have to pay for that OR go and find another tuning solution. But is there any reuse of hardware and software? Or do I essentially have to buy it again?

No real value in the tablet hardware. Think about it this way...on Ebay you can buy a 10 inch color screen new Android Tablet starting at $40, Octa Core, 64GB, good enough to watch movies on, etc. By comparison, the simple relatively low tech tune loading tablet included in the AVO kit, which is less than half the size and black and white and low def, costs AVO about ten bucks each at most, cable about half that amount. So, we are talking about perhaps $15 in hardware that is already prepacked with every kit. Far more valuable is the tune it includes and loads...which represents a few hundred man hours by Ross at AVO...and it works. Same with OFT tablet...the made in China electronic bits cost near nothing in bulk wholesale, the retail reflects the many hours invested by Shiv in the tunes.
