Performance Friction Floating Rotors for your NC

Post by Ryan @ GWR »

Another new addition to our shop here, these are the same rotors used by MX-5s racing in the IMSA Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge.

These come as a pair of rotors and hats, fully assembled with all hardware, ready to bolt on.

These motorsports-grade, 2-piece floating rotors are direct replacements for the standard 2006-2015 MX-5 rotors, and work with the OE calipers.

2-piece floating rotors are dramatically superior to cheaper one-piece rotors for performance/track use. As the rotor temperature increases, a one-piece rotor will warp and migrate laterally - sometimes as much as a quarter inch one way or the other. 2-piece floating rotors stay centered even under extreme conditions, reducing brake drag and keeping the brakes operating properly and at lower temperature.

PFC Championship-winning race rotors feature benefits such as:
*Lightest Design
*Longest-Lasting
*More Stopping Power
*Most Consistent
*Best Cooling
*Reduced Distortion
*FEA Designed Thermal Capacity
*High Carbon Alloy with Molybdenum and Copper
*Extensive FEA Analysis

Performance Friction rotors are "dimpled" rather than slotted. Note that they are NOT cross-drilled:

Do these offer a weight savings versus standard one-piece rotors?
