Toyo T1Rs squeal on tight turns, OEM Bridgestones never did

Post by layzarc »

Should I be concerned that the new Toyo T1R tires that I just put on my 2006 MT squeal on tight turns when the OEM Bridgestones never did (they just slid)?

Some tires are more vocal than others.

That said, if your tires are BRAND NEW...they will make more noise than after they wear down a little.

Tire pressures?

Brian,

What tire pressures do you recommend? They 245/35zr18.

Experiment and find the pressure that works best for the roads you drive on every day. I usually start at about 30psi. For high performance driving (canyon runs) then jack that up to 36 psi. For autocross go all the way to 40psi. But for everyday use most will stay about 30 psi....give or take a few psi.
