yes, with a large amount of additional grip grabing at the pavement irregularities you get some bit of left and right tugs at the wheel over uneven surfaces. Nothing you notice on the highway where you can take overpasses and ramps like never before...but something you notice on bad city streets.

I've mounted my wheels up finally w/275/35/18s RT-615s, and no problems on the street. But with a stock suspension, not after market like you have, are you confident there will not be rubbing interference on the fender under track cornering conditions?

I'm a bit worried for my 1st event next week as they sure look close to, or even slightly beyond the front fender edge :shock: !!

Also what tire pressure do you recommend on track with these? With 235s RT-615s on stock wheels I was running 38 cold, but am thinking less for these?? Not really sure.

It is easier to see on a lowered car that these tuck under the lips just fine. I did do a slight rear fender roll but it may have been unnecessary. We also have a good amount of negative camber which tips the top of the tire in as well so consider that variable.

I don't like as much pressure as some do in these Falkens. I usually start between 28 and 32 psi cold and tune for the conditions.

..seems doable.
F. Addition of spoilers, splitters, body kits, rear wings and non-functional scoops/vents is allowed. The intent of this allowance is to accommodate commonly avaiable appearance kits, and replicas thereof, which have no significant aerodynamic function at Solo speeds. Body kits are limited to bumper covers, valances, side skirts, and fender flares. Standard parts may not be removed except for the substitution of spoilers, rear wings, bumper covers and valances. Rear wings must attach only aft of the rear wheel centerline. Total surface area of all spoilers, splitters and rear wing may not exceed 8 square feet as seen from above (see 12.9). Substitution of rear spoilers or wings must retain any original third brake light functionality unless otherwise equipped. No underbody panels may be added or substituted. The drilling of holes for the purpose of mounting these pieces is permitted.

RP-F1's & Falken 615RT's

Post by tottoatol »

Brian,
Posting here too...I'll take 4 please.
I'll send you an email as well...
---
Can you all mount & balance the Falken 615RT's on them too...and ship it all as a package? No shaving needed.... :-}
I can get the 615's from Tire Rack (or Discount)...but additional S&H and getting my Tire & Align place to mount/balance them too...is more time/charge.
Tks.

i just saw a car with these rims and 275 all around. i was a bit put off by the fact that the front tires stuck out of the fenders a lil bit, but the car was also stock height. i also did notice that your lowered car did not have this issue. i'm lowered on tein flex, does this mean my wheels wont stick out also?
