So all of the AWR roll bars are made to the NASA 1.75 spec? Including the ones that come with with the Petty bar?
We are now making all the bars 1.75...or more.

Thanks Brian for the rollbar...

I spent Sat installing it...

Trimming the plastic is probably the most time consuming part of the process, otherwise it is relatively straight forward...

Fit and finish was very good...

Make sure people to purchase in advance the extra four bolts needed, plus get washers for them also...
I was able to get the bolts at my local OSH store, M8x1.25x16mm fitted perfectly...washers are needed with them due to the bolt head size...

All I'm waiting on now is for the plastic trim cap to be sent out to me, Brian is getting a new set made which will fit correctly on the larger 1.75 NASA bars, so I'm looking forward to completing this project when it arrives to me...

I took a few hundred pics of the install, but will just post a few here...I'll post some more over on Miata.net later in the week...

A basic before and after...

Under the softtop, has plenty of room, just be careful when opening/closing not to let the latch hit the top of the bar or it will scratch it...

Will look much cleaner when I get the plastic cap...

Under my hardtop, I'm very happy with the silver finish on the rollbar...

Hardtop has a bit less room to the rollbar, but it fits just fine...
Maybe 1/2 inch clearance approx...

Hi Brian, I'm looking for a roll bar for my 06 NC that I can use on track days. I like the stockish look of the double loop and the see the rear supports are indeed in the "upper third" of the bar... How much extra support do the rear bars actually provide?

Any idea whether this double loop is generally deemed "track-acceptable"? I saw your post about not looking to get it SCCA/NASA certified, but that was back in 2008. Any changes to this status? Can anyone else with 1st hand track inspection approval/disapproval comment on this?

Also, weld-down plates are included in kit, yes?

Thank you!

The weld down plates included. I never had issue getting into events but certainly any double hoop gets more scrutiny from tech inspection than any standard single hoop design. We never got NASA to respond to everything we sent them.

No chance in getting a Silver Finish Upgraded Bar Version 2 with REAR REMOVABLE SUPPORTS anytime soon? I dont care for the petty bar option as it prevents a ride along on track day, yet the extra diagonal support looks much beefier...

Will I need an additional harness brace for the silver upgraded bar and the quick change single hoop, or can they attach to the crossbeam somehow if one is handy and has a tap set?

Also, what's the average delivery time on the roll bars? Are they in stock and ready to go, or made up per order? I'm considering the double hoop with rear supports, the quick change single hoop with rear supports, or the silver upgraded bar with no supports.

Thanks... Sorry to be pain
