Which/When Hub Centric Ring ?

Post by miatagohard »

Hi Brian,
I purchases a used set of Yokohama AVS Rims Model 5 at 17x7, 17x8.
My questions is how will I know if the rims will be Lug or Hub centric? Is there a basic guide or a spec to determine this. Also if i'll need a hubcentric ring, how can i determine the size for my application?

I have 08 MX5 with DBA rotors drilled/slotted.
Thanks you!!

Your MX5 takes a 67mm ring. Don't know on the wheels, check them when they arrive. Likely 73 or 75mm.

I just went thru the same process with a set of wheels\tires I bought-one of those chained to a tree project.

My suggestion, find someone that sells the rims and they will have access to hub center adaptors. My rims were originally sold by Discount Tire, but discontinued. They still had the conversion data in their computer, and had adaptor rings in the warehouse. Did the same thing with Tire Rack.

good luck - just hit the retailers that sell your new rims.
