Considering a Miata

Post by jrh55 »

I figured a performance site might be a good place for feed back on these little roadsters. Limited budget but wondering about this NA< NB<NC prefixes. seems they relate to year models, correct?

All Miatas have a fundamental goodness and you can't go wrong. However, I do have some favorite choices. In NA the 94-97. In the NB the 99-00 Sport package is still the gold standard in terms of 'best stock Miata', really amazing out of the box (quick, precise, ''tossable'). The 03 Club Sport you are not likely to find but I have a soft spot for those too. These days we have four NC (2006, 2006, 2007, 2012) and I really enjoy the NC gen (too soft in stock form but good bones to build on and I fit better at 6'2 in the NC than I ever did in the earlier generations).

Gee I should gather my thoughts better before replying, you mentioned being 6,2 begs the question, if a roll bar is installed can the seat go all the way back and have any recline? On longer treks the wife likes to recline her seat so that is important
