2005, looking for the best intake

Hi all,
new to the site, have had my base 2005 for 3 months now. My question is regarding aftermarket intakes:
Are they worth it? Will I get any more performance than simply dropping in a K&N panel into my stock airbox?
I use the car to drive to work once a week, 150 miles round trip, so excessive noise could become an issue on long drives.

I have the K&N intake on my 01' and love the look and the increase in sound. Performance wise it probably did very little. If you want it to be quiet I would probably just do a K&N drop in on the stock air-box.
