SEMA Miata based "CatFish"

Post by Brian »

Back from SEMA show. Checked out Cord Bauer's Catfish.

This uses Miata mechanicals. It's not a re-body....it uses a totally new and ultra light tubular spaceframe. You don't realize how compact and low it is until you are standing next to it. Full flat bottom with rear diffuser setup....like our NCLIGHT except another 500 pounds lighter! Looks like a hoot to drive. Love the interior and details like the custom side exhaust.

The unofficial 'target' price is $14k, but that is a target price and often these things slip higher as production gets closer.

I hear that Emilio of 949 Racing may have already ordered a car.
