Brian,

I'm quite excited about your BBK that will clear the stock wheels and the 17x9 RPF1s. Please be sure to include it in your new-parts newsletter, so I'll know when it's released. I'm almost sure to install it over this coming winter.

Brian,

Can you report any progress on the BBK that will clear the 17x9 RPF1? I'd like to get one for my STR NC.

Brian, looks like this kit is finally available?
http://www.good-win-racing.com/Mazda-Pe ... -1303.html

Some quick questions:

1. the description mentions this:

-For more aggressive race applications, calipers can be fitted with our exclusive Thermlock pistons which provide the most effective thermal barrier for minimizing heat transfer from the brake pads to the caliper body, seals, and fluid.

how do we order this kit with the piston option above?

2. are the stock RX8 rear calipers the best option for balancing out the rears?
3. does the kit explain what pad size to order in the future, if we want to use PorterField or Hawk or some other compound?

Thanks!

With a 14-inch rotor and 6-piston calipers, this BBK will not fit under the 17x9 RPF1. This is the largest BBK on the site.

The regular 12.88 inch will easily fit most 17x9 thanks to very narrow six piston caliper on this kit.

Only the most radical track NC will need or want the 14 inch (we plan to run it on our NC LIGHT track toy).

It's a $265 upgrade for Thermlock pistons....and unless you have dedicated race car with 500+ hp I can't see the need. But if you are stuffing in a turbo V8 or otherwise doing that kind of build just ask us when you order and we can make the adjustment to the order and send a receipt by email. Yes, the easy rear setup for balance is RX8. The kit includes pads in their own little Wilwood pads box.... so that will give you the part number for future pad orders.

Brian,

What RX-8 parts do we need for the rear? OEM calipers and some RX-8 compatible rotors from your shop, I'd guess. Anything else?

The new kit should be a big interest to SR autocrossers, especially those running the RPF1s. I hope to place my order in the spring or summer.

The RX8 rear is a super easy install, you just need the calipers/pads and hats/rotors
