My 2010 daily driver is going on 120K. Runs great, doesn't burn or leak oil. Anyone with any insight as to whether supercharging is a viable option on an NC engine with this many miles? The alternative would be a new 2.5. SCing seems like a bit more power/dollar, but it certainly woudn't work out that way if the motor only has another 75k left in it.
Thanks...Tim
Supercharger on a high mileage NC?
Re: Supercharger on a high mileage NC?
Generally we suggest the motor be 75k or younger for new supercharger install.
Thus, my suggestion is a fresh 2.5

Thanks Brian,
What's commonly the weak link in older motors? Bottom end? heads?

Bottom end pretty good in the 2010, head is good too, but rings are already pretty worn at the mileage you have, all the seals really...
