2.5 engine mounts

Post by AlexD859 »

can you make the 95 duro mounts short, like the 70 duro for 2.5?
also what happened to the engine mount brackets, i saw on facebook for that customers 2.5 swap? are you guys going to produce those?

Takes time for item to get from prototype to production, I hope to have production versions of the lowering brackets for 2.5 motor on the site sometime in August.

Yes, can do the shorter engine mounts in 95 duro. With the bolt through the center of that design the difference between 70, 88, and 95 is not very significant....but we can do a 95 duro.

thanks for the quick reply brian. do you have an estimated cost for the lowering brackets at this time? or do you figure that once you get closer to production?

Sorry for all the question, but what is the main difference in the 70, 88, and 95 duro mounts. like why not just have a 70? i daily my car, but it is by no means a street car, so NVH and comfort do not apply. so i guess what im asking is, is there a reason to go with 95 duro, over 70 or 88. or vise versa.

Thanks for helping me understand, :?

Even 70 duro is crazy still for a daily driver, only the guys racing hardcore on the weekends in the same car would want even the 70 duro in the car, and it just gets more serious and hard from there with 88 and 95.

Unless racing the car seriously my suggestion is wait for our lowering 2.5 brackets and use them with our own brand of replacement stiffer rubber engine mounts/or the similar IL MotorSports stiffer rubber. I don't know the price yet, but hopefully soon.

We don't....but lots of places like Summit and JEGS sell standard replacements, just need to measure bar sizes and order those.

Ok we'll guess I'll be keeping that then lol. I'm going to be building a custom exhaust and wanted to use a baffle from one of your exhausts, which one is quieter. The baffle for the single exhaust or from the dual. I'm making a single center exit straight pipe. And just want to tone it down slightly. I already have the race muffler and max power header, and it's just not quite to my sound taste at lower rpms.

The unit designed for duals is much more effective, but also much more restrictive, not a good choice for single outlet as it would kill the power.
