rear axles

Post by porterhousestk »

I noticed GWR doesnt carry any aftermarket or replacement rear axles for the NC MX5, but there are multiple options for differentials.. the reason i ask is because im hearing a popping sound from my drivers side rear end and im guessing its probably the axle, or CV joints.. any recomendations on where i can find a replacement axle? or any tips on what i should do?

We generally don't carry what there is little demand for. My suggestion is get deeper before you conclude the source of the issue, usually the pop complaint turns out to be dry sway bar bushings or something else other than axle/CV.

i was having a loud clunk on the passenger front, just swapped in some new sway bar bushings, with beefier mounts from JEGS and all is good again. the difference in handling with the new bushings is crazy. for 30 bucks for both front and rear bushings, i recommend doing it before anything else.

Thanks for the advice guys!!! I really hope yall are right!! But it seems to change with speed.. So i have a pretty good feeling it is the cv axle or u-joint.
