They were up over 20 peak, as much as 30 hp at some points along the curve on their dyno with 91 octane tune. Odd they are making no more power with 100 octane, perhaps an engine wear issue with all the track miles they have on it. Their 91 octane chart is back on page 27 of this thread.

Final SCCA autocross run yesterday in our Good-Win Racing ND. The good is class win and fastest Miata time. The bad and the ugly is gave up about half a second when my big clumsy hands caught the wipers. Fun day, fast layout for SCCA with most of the time in 3rd gear, thanks to all who make these days at Qualcomm Stadium possible. Car was awesome, driver was just 'okay' but still managed the win. 8)

And so begins the next stage of fun with our Race ND....and the Edelbrock Supercharger!

Install Edelbrock Kit #2.....on experimental built motor. This is to test BEYOND the kit, well beyond.

Not going to list the plan details here, just letting you guys peek at some of the pics and follow the process a bit as we slowly reveal the details. Normally this supercharger kit is installed on the motor as installed on the car. Because we are using a built motor, not entirely stock bits inside, this install gives us a unique view of the supercharger going on the motor piece by piece. I am almost hesitant to post these pics because I just know somebody will FAIL TO READ before they go posting at Miata.net their false conclusion that install of the Edelbrock supercharger kit requires motor removal from the car 'because that's what they saw' in thread at Good-Win Racing. So...let's be CLEAR....normal install of the supercharger is on motor as installed by the factory in the car!! The fact we have new motor going into this ND simply gives us the unique one-time opportunity here to show you views you will never otherwise get with the normal install.

First Picture is Intercooler manifold installed.

Kit includes a new 2.5 bar (21.7 PSI max boost) combo MAP/AIT sensor - the Bosch 0 261 230 042 sensor.

Would you be willing to give us some details on the built motor? What parts are upgraded? Anything power production oriented, or is it simply stronger so it can handle the boost?

Nice write up. Always wish they could get more similar before/after pictures to really see difference.

Folks ask me what we run for oil with E85 and this is it. The 20-50 is used in our Racing NC, and 10-30 in this ND. This is a Nitro & Alcohol approved oil, no need for this if not racing with E85.
