Is the sound level/resonator issue the only problem with the long tube systems? Mine doesn't seem to have that issue, so I'm good if that's all that's going on.

Some systems got the correct resonator and some got a resonator that looks the same on the outside but has smaller perforation holes on the inside. That unit with smaller perforation holes in the core will last a few years longer, but it is noticeably louder. Result is that some are blowing local SCCA sound limits. Thus, indeed if yours is okay on volume for your use then everything else good to go.

Great. I'm almost done with the tuning process with Mat@OVTune now. Everything is feeling great! I'll have a before/after dyno to post for you guys.

Update...

The rush to get the longtube setups out to the fast guys before Nationals meant some details did not get finished to our satisfaction. After consulting the factory today, and after another month of testing through SCCA event this past weekend, we have decided to make a number of upgrades all designed to better seal the system. All units shipping after today will include these updates to better seal the entire setup start to finish. We are going to be offering all of the original dozen owners a free replacement to the newest spec system if they want it. While we are at it, and with the rush for Nationals now behind us, we are going to upgrade ALL the connections, including flange at the rear muffler connection and clamp in the middle of the midpipe. That's a bunch of updates all designed to guarantee complete sealing so owners get the sound level we got on original prototype installed on our ND here. Thus, anybody with sound issues on first edition will get a complete replacement if they want it, the only downside is having to do the install again. This will not happen overnight, production will start next week on the replacement kits and it will likely take at least a month to get those to original dozen owners.

Got a few more requests that we do midpipe in standard length with more resonator, to enable more muffler choices for those using our standard length headers. Working on it this week, our standard midpipe uses resonator that is about 11 inches long and 4 inches diameter, building prototype today as you see here that is 4.5 inches diameter and 14 inches of length. Laser cut end sections, very nice resonator with max perforation rate. That means it is still smaller than monster resonator in our longtube setup, but will fit more nicely tucked up under the car, above the braces and subrame members, etc. Assuming testing goes well figure a few months before this would make production. As with the longtube...the idea is essentially more muffler under the car enables use of less muffler at the rear, potentially our straight pipe muffler designs for some (and our straight pipe designs like RoadsterSport Race and SuperStreet make a few more hp because flow is so straight.)

Exciting updates for our ND Big Brake Kit.

Our ND Big Brake kits now feature our own curved vane, premium grade, heat treated, slotted rotors. Pics of the new rotors below! These are now included as standard in every GWR 12.88" BBK.

Along with our ongoing pursuit of even greater performance, we figured you guys wouldn't mind if we looked for ways to save you money too, right? So, we doubled down on our stock of parts here. Larger orders of parts means lower cost per part and we can pass that saving on to you guys. The result is a massive price drop of $300 and applies to both 4 and 6 piston kits!

These changes also make for more savings down the road. Wilwood's 12.88" rotor cost $225 for ONE replacement friction ring (!!!), but we can offer our own 12.88" rotors now for $149 per ring.

Brian how easy will it be to remove and put on? I can't tell from the pics if the latching mechanism is the final product or not.

More photos of the Carbon Top. This is a Racer's top that will have 'street' version with seals. But fundamentally it will always be a Racer's top with the emphasis on staying light, does not compare to the quietness of a factory top which can weigh three times what this top weighs.
