NC Stock Size 2-Piece Rotors

Post by Ryan @ GWR »

Lots of requests for these, and I'm happy to finally be able to pull the cover off this project! Previously the only option for a 2 piece rotor in the factory rotor dimensions was from PFC at a whopping $900+ for the pair

So here we go with over $400 of savings and even lower weight to boot:

Goodwin Racing Superlight 2-Piece FRONT Rotors

We worked hand in hand with V8R to design a new hat specifically for this application. The hats are super strong, light, hubcentric, and designed with locking fasteners so there's no hassle with safety wiring the bolts like some 2 piece rotors.

We have two flavors available for the rotors: the Superlight which comes in at close to 9 lbs fully assembled for 4.25 lbs saved per side compared to a factory rotor, or the Race version with beefed up wall thickness and directional curved vanes to give exceptional lifespan and heat tolerance in the toughest conditions. The race saves 3 lbs per side.

Naturally, the Superlight will be the go-to choice for street guys and autocrossers. Both rotors are STR autocross legal.

Just opened it up for prepays now. Hope to be shipping the first batch by September!

This is really exciting.

I have been ready to buy something like this for a very long time.

Couple questions:

1) how much are replacement rotors
2) do these require any Safety PM? like checking the tightness of the fasteners between the center hat and rotor
3) Is there a rear rotor application also in development?

Woops, sorry I missed this!

1) Replacements are ~$85 for the superlights, just a bit more for the race.
2) No need, locking hardware used so they won't loosen.
3) Rears almost ready, will post those in just a couple days :)

Are there any plans to do a caliper upgrade kit along with these rotors front and rear?

Probably not. Such caliper kits already exist from some other vendors, so not much point in us doing it. These rotors will pair nicely with those caliper kits for an ultra lightweight combo.

These are still listed as Prepay. How long of a wait would I be looking at if I ordered now?

Production on the hats for these super lightweight rotors took longer than expected but the hats are finally in stock!!

Keep in mind, the friction rings are made to order based on your request for slotted or plain face, so there is always a 2-week turn around time on orders for these.
