Whoops...put 0w40 in my NC....

Post by TylerA343 »

So my wife was moving some stuff in my shed, and put a jug of my Mobil1 0w40 in my case of Mobil1 0w20

Dumbass that I am, I didnt look until after my oil change to realize I put the 0w40 in my 2014 2.0L NC

Am I ok for awhile? I was thinking of at least putting some miles on this oil before swapping it. The 0w40 is really good oil, and it is hot up here in Canada currently. Daily temps are mid 80F.
Should I get it out of there asap? Or am I even ok to run it for the full length I usually go? I usually change every 2500-3000 miles.

It looks like some guys might run 0w40 in theirs all the time?

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Indeed plenty of customers using that choice all the time, I would not worry about it.
