Preparing for Auto Cross

Post by zumxzum »

I have a 96 M Edition with 97K miles on it. I can feel that the suspension is a bit soft. I will be attending a auto crossing class in June and I want to prep the car before that. Do you think I should replace my struts and springs? What set should I get?

Also what should my alignment settings be? I use the car as a weekend toy so daily drivability and tire longevity is not a issue.

First, do some research into what class you plan to run. There are several great choices for a Miata. Once you know the class, you will then know what mods you can legally make.

Generally, the first mods are adjustable shocks (Koni being the favorite choice) and sway bars (front only for stock class guys).
