02 mx5 turbo or supercharger?

first time owner of 02 mx5 & want more power. i live in a state with no inspection or emission checks. i don't know what upgrades to do first. should i go with a turbo or supercharger? my brother runs 1 big turbo on his 95 rx7 & its a very BAD car.

Hmmm, depends on planned use. As a freeway fun toy I like the turbo. If autocross is in the plans I prefer the supercharger.

hey brian sounds like the turbo is the way to go for me. first i need help with a choice of high flow air filter & cold air intake box for max hp gain. please include mfg, part #s & cost for my 02 mx5. i'm ready to order for my Christmas. thank you

None of the intake choices are going to hook up neatly to any of the boost kits. Thus, any intake you get now you will be getting rid of when you get the boost.
