(NC) SAS Control Module - Unplugging

Has anybody unplugged their SAS control module? I have replace my seats and steering wheel and I am tired of looking at the air-bag light. I was considering unplugging the SAS control module since it controls the dash light. Has anybody done this? I am not sure if there are any other system implications if I unplug the module, but I don't think there is based on the pin wiring diagram. Any thoughts or comments?
Thanks.

Just a follow-up note, there are no indications of any issues with the SAS removal. I am disapointed that the airbag light is still on, but at least it is not flashing any more.

If you ground pin 1R on the harness that went to the SAS module, it should turn off the light.

Jim, I have a stupid question, but what is the easiest way to do that? Did you just cut the wire and ground it to the chassis or can you pull it out without cutting it?

I didn't do it, Dan -- just looking at the wiring diagram. If it was me, I'd get behind the SAS connector, and use a crimp-on T splice to add a wire to the one coming from pin 1R, then ground the other end with another T-splice to a handy ground wire.
