Looks great. I almost wish I'd waited to buy my gwr header. I guess I'll wait to see the dyno comparo's before I get jealous lol.

Re: Pst.......Something NEW...First Look!
What's the pipe diameter of the mid-pipe?
Re: Pst.......Something NEW...First Look!
Very interesting. Looks like there is another hanger added at the end with a bracket to attach to the body. What are the rectangles with what looks like two studs each before and after the resonator? More mounts? And this looks like stainless pipe, too.
Edit: mine showed up yesterday. Yes, there is an added hangar for the end of the midpipe to support it without a muffler. The rectangles are special stainless steel clamps to hold the 14 inch Magnaflow resonator to the entry and exit pipes. The resonator is straight through, as in look in one end and see completely through the pipe, no obstructions. The section within the larger can is perforated to allow sound damping. The midpipe is stainless and it is 2.5" OD pipe.
I won't be able to start installation for at least a week, but will try to document with pics anything peculiar to this particular header.

Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the header once it is installed.morrisg wrote: I won't be able to start installation for at least a week, but will try to document with pics anything peculiar to this particular header.

Re: NEW LONG TUBE HEADERS.....
PPE Long Tube Header Component Weights:
Header ~14 lbs; catted pipe is 7.7 lbs; Magnaflow resonator is 6.5 lbs; rear pipe is 3.5 lbs; clamps and hangers ~3 lbs.
Total with no muffler or tail pipe: 34.7 lbs
Goodwin Race Single is ~7 lbs, so the whole system could come in around 42 lbs.
Stock muffler is ~26 lbs. I'll let you know what the other stock system components weigh after I take them off.

Re: NEW LONG TUBE HEADERS.....
So the pieces of the "mid-pipe" are separate, not welded together?
If that's true, it would be great to have a "cat-delete" pipe available. I'd use that most of the time, to preclude the SC cooking the cat, then swap in the cat for inspections.
