Toyo R888 v. Nitto NT01

Post by Ian »

I am currently using the Toyo (205/50x15) on RPF1 wheels and am considering a change to the Nitto NT01 in the same size.. Which would be the fastest tyre - road racing, naturally aspirated NA? Would tyre wear be similar?
I also have a full wet weather wheel/tyre combo, so I am talking dry tracks. Thanks.
94 NA, modified for occasional track racing - intake, exhaust, alloy flywheel, torsen.

Same company, almost the same tire, compounds are identical, tread design is different (R888 better water design pattern, NTO1 better dry pattern). Thus, it should be no surprise that the performance is close, assuming you want the dry performance most, go for the NTO1.
