Any autocross events in San Diego with decent seat time?

When I owned a Boxster-S, I was spoiled by the PCASDR events - 12 runs on 2 minute courses. I only ever went to one SCCA event during that time because I could never get motivated enough to drive down, tech inspect and work cornors just for 3 50 second laps.

I'm not interested in trophies/competing in a class, I just like to go out and explore the limits of my car.

Are there any autocross events in San Diego for my MX-5 with decent seat time?

If I recall, PCA will let you run a non-P-car if you keep your membership.

The SCCA practice days get a good 12 run or more...

BMW club has some fun events that also allow a certain number of non-BMW..... and their next event on August 5 is a "running continuous laps" event....

I intentionally purchased a PRHT so as to not be tempted to put in a rollbar and take it to the track. But the canyon runs have got the better of me. I'll just have to check these events out

Maybe I should have purchased the soft top

Next - I need to call Brian soon and arrange to take my car down to him for a suspension upgrade

There is a no-work autox at the Q this weekend at the import car show Extreme Autofest. Course design and timing is being done by http://jaycomservices.com/ who has plenty of experience with SCCA and Rallycross events.

No, we just need Brain/AWR to figure out how to get us a decent rollbar for our PRHT's. I really like the double hoops for the non-PRHT's Good-win sells...hint, hint.

Sorry, not gonna happen. We do now offer the Harddog PRHT bars....

Everyone keeps saying that. Even Moti at Blackbird said "I'm creative but cannot bend space and time" LOL!

So Brian, have you sat in a car the Harddog PRHT bar installed? Will I be able to use the rear view mirror? Looks like it would be directly in my line of sight. I do have my stock GT seats dropped a little over 2". Perhaps that would make it better...or worse? If I didn't work 50+ hours a week I'd fab my own bar(s).

Sorry, we have sold a few of our Harddog PRHT bars but I have not yet been in the car after install of those.

Curves, et al,

Sorry I went off topic with the rollbar talk. Let me go OT again.

Curves, what year was your Boxster-S? How does it compare overall to your NC? I'm genuinely curious about a Boxster or Cayman as a future ride.

EDIT to go back on-topic: Porsche club event is this Sunday. Come on down. I'll be in my '08 car #501x
