hello, i am in the middle [literally!!] of swapping out my OEM brake pads for hawk hps.
the fronts went on without issue, but the rear pads just wont fit. even with pushing the piston back in the caliper there is still about 2-3mm of brake pad that overlaps the rotor.

so... i got no rear brakes at the moment.

any help advice? anyone with an NC2 running these pads?
car is a 2011 mx5 sport base model...

PLEASE HELP! id like to be able to drive my car tonight!

Pushing the pistons back won't get the job done....because you have a parking brake.

You need the correct tool to wind out the rear assembly fully before you can get the pads installed.

something like this?
http://www.amazon.com/OEM-27111-Disc-Br ... d_add_1_dp

"Also rotates pistons back into the caliper on vehicles with self-adjusting parking brakes"

Yep, though I use this style, which usually costs just a few dollars and plugs onto the end of your socket extension, a nice addition to the socket set you already own.
