Out of curiosity, what is the thickness of the spacer that comes with the 6 piston Wilwood kit, and would it require longer studs at all?

Thin little 3mm spacer that does not require longer studs.91 IMPULSE RS wrote:Out of curiosity, what is the thickness of the spacer that comes with the 6 piston Wilwood kit, and would it require longer studs at all?

Re: 17x9 +49 clear BBK?
Just to make sure, will the 12.88 kit clear the 17x9+45 RPF1 without the spacer? I can't run even the 3-mm spacer with 255 tires.Brian wrote:The regular 12.88 inch will easily fit most 17x9 thanks to very narrow six piston caliper on this kit.
Thanks.

Re: 17x9 +49 clear BBK?
Nope..
This Narrow 6 piston is about as narrow as multi-piston calipers get but the Enkei 17x9 RPF1 45mm wheel still needs 3mm spacer to fit with this kit.
I also checked our other problem child, the 45mm RPF1 18x9.5 and it clears by about 3mm....making it our only brake kit that will fit without spacers with that wheel.

Re: 17x9 +49 clear BBK?
I'll order a set of Weds TC105N 17x9 +49mm wheels shortly. It will take a while for them to deliver, but I'll report once I try the Wilwood 12.8" BBK without spacers.
Re: 17x9 +49 clear BBK?
Thanks X25. Realize when I started this thread the 6-piston option didn't exist: I was asking if the WEDS would clear the existing BBK at the time (larger, heavier kit). Since then the 6-piston BBK came out andd since it clears stock 17x7 wheels there should be no issue with 17x9 wheels like Brian says.
