Hey I want to update the look and ride of my 2001 miata.
I am having trouble finding High end tires for the stock 15" factory five spoke...so thought I would upgrade to a 16" enkei....looking for polished five spoke or similar....car colors are triple blk...also would like to kick up the power to at least 200-250hp any suggestions?......JT

Since this is a forum post and not an email I took out your phone number that you listed...

There are MORE tire choices in 15 inch tires than 16 inch.... This becomes even more true if we add power and need to add width. For example, once we get over 200 hp we often want to get 225mm wide tires on the ground. Our choices in 225/40/16 are now exactly ZERO....and we have just one choice in the tall 225/45/16. But in 15 inch 225/45/15 we have several choices...AND we have many more 15x8 choices to put those tires on (and 15x9 too).

Sorry, no polished five spoke in wide fitment because the design is generally heavier, that's why most of the choices you see are higher spoke count. Nearest we can get in the width for 225/45/15 is the Nickel finish 6ul 15x8 or our machine finish Konig Flatout

Ok, let's go with the 15 as recomended. What would be your choice for the lightest and strongest 15?

what tire brand would be the premium choice for primary summer driving and occasional rain.

what's the safest route to 200-250 horsepower?

I would also appreciate any suggestions for follow-up upgrades that would follow the increase in power.

e.g. brakes, etc.

i have an 2001 i just got it 6 months ago,i got exaust sounding right ,and looking good,also replaced factory radio with new one,added amp upgraded door speakers,got a boom box 2 tens sounds awsome,aux plug for ipod helps alot,i fill my tank with 102 octane gas and she moves,bought lots of chrome interior and exterior accesories,thanks to goodwin im hooked up,id like to chrome out my sidemirrors,and im gonna leather out my stock miata seats been quoted 350 for both. chrome gascap and fender halfs what else oh my im spending alot/
