No. 4 rod is knocking on my six speed stick '06 (133,000 miles). If the journal is damaged, I may replace the crank so I can use the Cosworth bearings as they do not appear to come in any size other than standard. Mazda shows the same part number for both manual and automatics for several years then the automatic keeps the same but the manual gets a different part. The price difference is dramatic ($800). Anyone know what, if anything, can be done to run the later version crankshaft?
