If you look a few post up I explain it's a custom fabricated unit to acomadate the rx-8 diff and provide less twist. I had It powder coated gloss black as the old spray paint job was looking pretty shabby.

Hit the dyno today. Pretty easy day without issue. The motor just wants to make TQ badly. In the interest of keeping the motor alive we dropped the timing down at peak TQ. The car runs pretty good but this is no final tune. Still have the intake flapper, cam control, and boost to play with.

It's a GTX3076 with a Tial .63 vband housing Brian. The spool on it is just what I was looking for. It wanted to make another 40-50TQ but i'm still on the stock block :?

Our high compression normally aspirated 2.5 in NCLIGHT is set to 7800 currently, could go higher.

Our factory motor 2.5 in my street driver 'Project Blue' is just 7400.

And you have been using 7400 for autox runs? I'm at 6800 now and would love another 400rpm if safe..

Took it to the track for a little shake down. Need to work on power delivery but it went well.

I have been told wildly different info on what the safe limits of these motors are. I'm going to put some info here as a place holder and i'll report back later on how things are holding up. Hopefully this info will help someone one day.
2010 mazda 6 motor 30k miles all internally stock
GTX3076 with .63 tial housing
around 400WHP/400WTQ now with 16-17psi It wanted to make closer to 450 tq.
detuned peak tq in hopes of lowering cyl pressures to keep the rods IN the block. It also helped corner exit traction/driveability
7000RPM rev limit holds power to around 6750
I have not messed with the intake flapper and have it in the long runner position
it has about 850mi on it so far with no problems.
