SCCA Practice yesterday:

Champ Event Today:

Got the win and holding top PAX but didn't like this course, just too darn tight to have much fun tossing the car around, looking forward to our typically much faster events on our west lot. Music courtesy our RoadsterSport Race Muffler!

Had to relearn an old lesson that what feels better is not necessarily faster. Yesterday went tighter on the sway bar, didn't like it, today went softer to get the car to rotate more and it did....yet reaction time so much slower that overall I was slower and after first two runs I was looking at 3rd place. Tossed the floor mat on the ground as pad and got the wheels cranked over and changed sway bar stiffer and next run put me in first place, backed that up with slightly faster last run.

Love this car! Our top PAX position of the morning held for the full day. Good-Win Racing ND2 is Pax 1 of 111 competitors.

And yet I want it faster, it can go faster, perhaps some play with the alignment settings before next event.

Picture from Sunday Autocross....and the Preliminary results, I was really tired from Mexico surf trip (in fact I drove in from Mexico direct to the event), that additional 2 tenths for top pax was there and I am little bummed that I didn't snag that... but another class win is great and still amazing to be #2 on Pax out of 117 cars!

 I knew it was the secret ingredient!

Tbf though, I'm pretty sure CarbonMiata copied it from the Mazda concept, so it's not actually that surprising to see them run it on the racecars...

Winning Run for SCCA autocross yesterday, Top PAX

Running KONI SPORT shocks one full turn from stiff at the front, full stiff rear. This gave pretty good balance overall with the rest of the setup that includes the upgraded front sway and hard Penske rear bumpstops to balance that front sway. Playing with tire pressures at most recent events and trying more pressure rear for a bit more rear effective spring rate, hot 28 front, hot 30 rear with Yokohama A052. This was just second autocross event for me on the new Yokohama (one track event on same tire on our Supercharged 07 NC). Continue to be impressed with the Yokohama, fast from cold (yes, even more than RE71R).

Had question about stops in the car. Currently Penske rear Blue HARD stop. No real preference between this and the combo of chopped stops I had in the car before.
