Brake fluid flush (questions)

Post by YomnyM235 »

Getting my Hawk pads soon and i'll need to flush fluids. Whats the recommended order if any to bleed calipers?
The clutch fluid since its the same reservoir, should i leave it as is or proceed to bleed slave as well? I'll be using a motive bleeder.

I'm hoping i just pump with the motive and bleed away calipers, is this the same process for the slave cylinder? No special process or parts to remove or hold, clutch pedal pumping?

I say this because on some BMW's its really hard to bleed the clutch, pedal goes down and the cylinder is best remove, bleed outside, then installed.

Nothing special here, but see the threads at Miata.net (including garage section) where many have posted pics and very detailed instructions.

Thanks

I've done quite a bit of searching but couldn't really find much(except in garage section). Not sure if location of the ND's ABS unit is the same or anything else is the same for that matter but i'm almost certain it can't be that much different.

Thanks for the suggestions.
