I just bought the car with 75000 mi and the clutch works ok but is a little wierd and engages just a hair off the floor and if you rush it shifting doesnt disengage completely.
Anybody had any experience with this?
I just got my new Tokico HTS Shocks and progessive springs, thats my first project. I guess my next project will be the clutch. Maybe I should look at the clutch while I got it jacked up....
Thanks

ANY amount of air in the system will make the clutch pedal soft. I would try a clutch system fluid flush and bleed first.

Hydraulic failure is typical at that age, replace both master and slave and live will likely be good again.

If aftermarket clutch in there, some do engage near the floor as 'normal'. That includes ACT, which I have in my 2007 and as a tall guy I like it engaging near the floor. Pedal lash can be adjusted a little under the dash (search this at miata.net for details).

Thanks for the good advice, I will try the flush first.
