Air Filter Question

Post by avera01 »

About to replace the stock air filter with another Mazda OEM filter when I came across a dry synthetic based filter by AEM, not CAI but a direct stock replacement that is washable.

Costing around $50, its triple stock price and 3rd party brands. Any thought or comments regarding using this reusable filter?

Not seeking performance gain or a CAI, just better value over the long haul; as long as there is no detriment to the engine.

Don't care for the K & N filters, had them in the past on other cars, but a hassle with the oil.

We like the AEM dry element filters, much preferred over K&N and flow better than stock.
