ND Edelbrock supercharged spark plug upgrade?

Post by ChanceS905 »

Just wondering if anyone knows any suitable spark plug upgrades for running a supercharger. Edelbrock wont tell you anything as they want the car bone stock for the charger. I will also be adding a water/meth injection system (snow preformance) to protect my envestment. Thanks

Had good luck with Brisk Racing P8 1626 and AVO turbo, now about to try them with Edelbrock kit.

Installed with no changes to gap, they come with a 0.7mm gap out of the box, that worked well with the turbo and so far with supercharger too. With help from friends hope to set record hp for the Edelbrock kit soon.

Brian,

Wondering why the choice of the Brisk Racing P8 1626? Also, are there any aftermarket coilpacks that offer improvements with the supercharger?

That plug was recommended by Ross at AVO for use with our turbo when we pushed their tune to 12psi and 300 ft/lbs of torque (the most ANYONE has made with that kit last I looked around). They had already done a lot of testing with it. Over in the Fiat 124 turbo application numerous customers reporting success there too. So, with that success with the turbo in our own car, we left those in the car with the change back to supercharger and so far logs suggest it is working better in this application too (more timing tolerant, less ping).

Nope, the design is all about spark under pressure of boost.
