NC2 low ride heights

Post by Colw »

New member joined May2019. I have recently bought a 2010 NC2 PRHT from a friend which is fitted with Mazdaspeed/Eibach Pro-kit springs and Koni yellow adjustable shockers. This combination gives very low ride heights - 13.25" front and 12.25" rear between centre of rim and under fender lip, and min.ground clearance about 75mm. The minimum legal ground clearance here in South Australia is 100mm from any lowest point.
From your 2012 NC2PRHT SS Project car it appears that the Progress springs you have developed are a better match with the Konis giving a more acceptable ride height, which may achieve the minimum ground clearance of 100mm that I require. Could you please advise on this, also is there any other way to raise the ride height to that required, i.e.other springs, or possibly spring packers between either spring and shocker perch, or between strut and body.
I assume I could buy the Progress springs through MX5Parts in Australia?
Thanks in advance for any advice - Colw

Yes, the Progress Springs should raise you back up, particularly in the rear.
