NC all ready for First Autocross

Post by Brian »

Here is our NC all ready for its first autocross. After a frustrating first day on track because of the soft factory springs we decided to beef up our NC to make it much more fun and fast before its first autocross.

Prep included"

A. JIC coilovers installed
B. 16x8 Mazda OEM wheels from the 93-95 RX7
C. Khumo 245/45/16 DOT legal Race tires.
C. Corner balanced about 1.25 inches lower than stock.
D. Aligned with 1.8 negative camber all around, slight toe out up front and slight toe in at the rear, max caster up front.

Wow! You just made me want to buy a Winning Blue NC and a set of OEM RX-7 FD wheels! I always felt the 17" NC wheels looked a tad large, while the 16" base model ones looked a tad "dumpy." These gorgeous RX-7 wheels look perfect.

Now we're making some progress---

Assume setup also good for track days?

Now for the rollbar, affordable spring/shocks/coilover, catback exhaust and cold air kit.

Yes, set up for track days and run in the local autocross class where it fits with these mods.
