New in the Market

Post by JJDGraz »

Hello Everyone,

I need to replace my wife's daily driver. And can't think of a better choice than a sweet little Japanese made English roadster. I have scoured CraigsList, MX-5 Miata.net, and this site without finding any suitable solution.

I have been told that patience and determination may yield me success in finding the most desirable '99 model. However...

If anyone knows of a 1st or 2nd generation in reasonable condition. Please respond!

Thanks in Advance!

I see a new ad for a used Miata every day here in San Diego....often a few additional for sale every day. Check Craig's List and Online San Diego.

Thus....solid privately owned Miatas come up every week. This one looks worth a look...

Thanks Brian,

I have not looked at that one and I have considered calling. Now I will call them in the morning. From the research I am finding they upgraded some of the NA's in the mid 90's to 1.8L engines. The 2000 that I drove today felt heavier, but it was much tighter than the NA's that I drove before. I am trying to stick to the NB models. Because I someone I spoke with recently (May be you. Or someone from your shop) advised me to keep a look out for them.

I have an appt to see this one on Friday:

And I drove this one today:

I am considering this one too:

You are right. It sure seems to be a "target rich environment".
