The 19mm requires more fender roll...look close at Gold 14x7 above, particularly the close up of the fender. Those not wanting to do so much rolling/pulling can go with 28mm and find a much easier fitment.

Brian,

Thanks for the quick response. I'll keep that info in mind. I'm still trying to decide between these and 15-inch 6ULs. These are very light and look very cool, but tire selection is sparse, and if I ever decide to go with a BBK, I'd have to move to 15-inchers. I'd also like to see these in 14x8 or 14x9. On the other hand, these wheels with low-profile tires could help me lower the car's CoG. Hmmm. Decisions, decisions.

How much more involved is mounting and shipping these rpf1's with DOT-R's in ballscold weather? Would your shop really keep the tires edit/warm for a day or two before mounting? Then how would shipping across the chilly midwest effect them? Once they get to their new home, they'd finally be happy! :) You could say I'm looking for some assurance about DOT-Rs getting tossed around by the man in brown in freezing temps.

We are in San Diego....cold here is when it drops below 70 F.

But obviously we have no way of knowing or controlling what temperatures they would be exposed to while in the custody of FED EX going across the country.

Thanks. Since I'm in FL I suppose Fedex(?) would route a tire package thru their hubs along the way to me.

Hi All,

I'm after some more info about these rims. I'm looking to see if there are enough clearance for my custom brake setup. I'm after the inside diameter of one of these rims. There seems to be three destinct steps on the inside of the RP-F1s can somebody please tell what the diameter at each of these steps is? There looks to be a one up flush with the spoke, another in the middle of the rim and the third near the outer edge.

Any help from anyone would be greatful.

Thanks,
Brian
