Different Front/Rear Tire Width on NB

Post by gbenner »

Anyone using different width front and rear tires on NB?
Here are some available tire size combinations with with nearly equal front/rear overall height and section height.

R1R 205/50-15, 225/45-15; 949 6UL 15x7,15x8 (15x7 in spring 2010?)
T1R 205/45-16, 225/40-16; Enkei RPF1 16x7,16x8
T1R 215/40-16, 245/35-16; Enkei RPF1 16x7,16x8

My miata is 1999 sport package with M45. I am using the OE 15x6's for winter and need to buy new summer wheels and tires.

On a 2003 only lowerd 3/4" Dont want to roll fenders... any comments

On the NB we found the 245/35/16 would clear on the 38mm 16x8 at all four corners....no fender roll.

Unfortunately, Toyo has killed both the 245/35/16 and 225/40/16 size in T1R.
