I would still like to go with a 9" My only options are the Enkei PF01 18x9, 45mm, 5x114
Enkei 17x9 RP-F1, 45mm offset 5x114, Or going back to ENKEI PF01 17x8, 50mm, 5x114
The PF01 is the style I prefer over the RP-F1 but I know the 17 will give me a little more side wall thus giving me more of a warning before it breaks lose
I really want a wider tire on the new car. Fender roll is not an isue, I dont mind cutting the lip down tacking in some round bar and putting Mr. Easton to it to roll it out.

Any sugestions on a wheel tire combo that would work? this is my commute car 132miles a day, but I drive 10 miles of canyon everday on the way to work.

I am also changing the setup to tokico cliker and Ebiac

My suggestion is 17x9 with 235/40 or 245/40. That Enkei RP-F1 wins the low weight contest....but note that we now have a 17x9 with 48mm offset that would fit a 235/40 without a fender lip roll:

Stupid question does the RP-F1 come with a center cap? i did not see one in the photo.
will a 245/40 on a 9" tighten up the handeling or will be about the same as the 235/40 on the 8"

The RP-F1 caps are not included with the wheels. For a street setup my preference is the 17x9 with 235/40.

Cap for RP-F1 on the website here:

Sorry, your hubcentric rings from the RS+M are too big for this wheel (75mm versus 73mm).

Staggered tires and wheels.
The wheels are 1999 spec RX-7 17x8 & 17x8.5, 50et. the wheels have been striped and powder coated late model silver with clear coat. I was going to have them polished, don't know why I didn't know. But they are now listed for sale.
The tires are Fuzion ZRi's 235/45-17's & 245/45-17's F & R. They are made by Bridgestone. Tread width is listed 8" for the 235's & 8.5 for the 245's.
Just picked them up for cruising. I like the performance of my 18x8 OZ's w/ 235/40's tires for "turn in" but I have a softer susp. set-up than most. Progress, Koni's, OE bump stops, RX-8 sport front sway & H&R rear sway.
If you like PF01's they make them in 17x8 w/45et., 17x8 w/50et., 18x8 w/45et., 18x8 w/50et., 18x8.5 w/48et., & 18x9 w/45et. Some of the sizes come in black. I guess the black wheel thing might go with the age thing. I for one don't care for black wheels on a car unless the car is black too.
My .02 cents.
