Will XXR 526 17x9 +25 work on the NC

Post by rr1santos »

As the title says, will our NCs handle a low offset? How about a lowered NC such as mine?

http://www.mazdatalkforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1964

The car has settled even more since this has been done and I'm actually at -2.5 in the front and -2.75 in the rear as far as camber goes..

This is the wheel I'm looking at getting...

Brian, how much fender rolling or even pulling would I have to do to get these wheels to fit....What would be the lowest offset I can get on the NC given my ride height

I plan on getting a 215/40 or 215/45 for the 17x9 wheels...

Thanks..

Some notes...I don't track or auto x...my car is more for show and daily driven...:)

I will be interested to know how that works out, but I have not tried a 25mm offset on NC yet. Most aggressive we have done is 38mm. With all your lowering and camber it will be interesting to see how much fender roll is needed.

Called xxr and they said the 526's are about 23lbs without tires...how much of a strain will the unsprung weight put on the engine?

It's not an issue of strain on the motor.

It is an issue of ride quality...which you can expect to suffer with that heavy wheel choice.

hey brian....

after deep thought about the wheel choice i was going with i looked up that Enkei RPF-1's have the optional +22 offset and +35 offset...have you seen any of the two physically? if my calculations are right...a 17x9 +35 should have a lip of 3" lip and the 17x9 + 22 should have about 3.5" lip...please correct me if i'm wrong

can you special order any of the two wheels? preferably in their SBC finish and if you can email me the price at rr1santos@cox.net would be awesome...

thanks and have a good weekend..
