17X9 6ULR'S availability and Intake, exhaust question

Hi Brian,
First of all I want to thank you for letting me join the forum. I have been reading a lot about people's concerns about their MX5'S and how you try to help them as much as you can.
I recently bought a 2006 MX-5 and I am very happy with it. Nonetheless, I would like to make some upgrades to it little by little. I live in California and I wanted to get an CAI, a MazdaSpeed Exhaust and the mid-pipe, but I read on your website that the midpipe is not legal in California. I am not planning on racing my car, I just want to add a little more power to it. Do you think it would make a difference in HP if I upgrade the CAI and the MS Exhaust with the stock mid-pipe?

Couple more question, I am very interested in getting those 17X9 ULR wheels you are selling. My car's color is galaxy gray, so I wanted to get the charcoal ULR's to make it look like the SEMA LOL. You say you are low in stock. Are you planning on getting more in these color? My second option is gettiing the Tungsten, but I don't know how that color suits my mx5. My third and last question is if you can get these wheels in silver?. I would love that color on my car. like the ones on the yellow mx5 picture you have on the wheel and tire's combo.

Ps: I don't want to roll the fenders so I would use 235/40/17.

Thank you Brian,
Best regards,
patrick06nc

Hi Patrick,

Welcome! I think we still have the charcoal color 6UL if you want that choice. There won't be any more color choices than those listed because that wheel is not currently in production. Thus, once current inventory is gone, it may be a while before we get more.

On the power side of things, indeed you are limited to intake and exhaust. Sorry, no legal midpipes or headers likely, but a final exhaust adds a little zip and fun factor. Consider some springs to lower the fender gap to make the 6UL wheels look right. Feel free to email us direct by the 'contact us' button with any questions you have.
